Not good for taking close ups at kids sporting events. : Canon Powershot SX30IS 14.1MP Digital Camera + 16GB Deluxe Accessory Kit
We are not camera buffs and thought this would be a good camera to take pictures of our son playing basketball and football, but when zoomed in the clarity in the picture is completely lost if the person is moving. Takes ok pictures if the person is moving when not zoomed in. Great clarity in still photos both zoomed in and not. We were told we would have to buy a semiprofessional camera in the $600 and up range to be able to zoom in close and take clear photos of moving target.
